Last Days Of Summer In Rome

It is, of course, incredibly fun to plan a very creative outfit and wear it for a photoshoot or maybe a short evening; but I have always thought the most amazing style is shown when someone can dress effortlessly chic and comfortable, daily. I loved this easy outfit formula: straight leg cropped jeans, wrap blouse, sneakers - a very typical outfit guideline seen so often in street style. I follow this idea most days, whether I'm gong to college and wearing vintage jeans with a cute tee and sneakers, or meeting the smart-casual dress-code. I love the feminine elegance juxtaposed to the cool sneakers. It was the perfect Indian-summer city-break look and ticked both the comfort and style boxes. I especially love how easy this outfit formula - mixing a feminine top with comfortable cool shoes - is to recreate and change up, pairing a classic pair of straight leg jeans with a retro pair of 80's-style tech trainers - like we've been seeing so frequently recently in the trends and catwalks - and a evening blouse worn in the day; or pairing grungey converse with a prissy frilly blouse à la Chloé. Rome was the most beautiful city, one thing that especially stood out to me - besides the gelato and church frescoes - was the stunning carved fountains. We stayed just a five minute walk from both the Trevi Fountain and Piazza di Spagna making the trip even more fantastic as every morning and evening began or ended with the most amazing views and photo backdrops.
